What does off-the-grid mean? Whiskey on the River is a solar-powered property, with battery
and generator backup just in case. Rest easy in your cabin that has all the comforts of home, powered by the sun.

Is my cabin totally secluded? There are currently nine cabins that are more or less in a row
facing the river. Guests can see other cabins from their own, but there is a
comfortable distance between the units.

Are there staff members on site? Staff members are on site during normal business hours. There are no staff members on the property overnight.

What security measures are in place? The property’s entrance gate is locked 24/7 and opens by entry code only. Each cabin has an individual entry code, too. Cell service is strong
on the property should an emergency call be needed.

Pet Policy: With the exception of service animals, we are unable to accommodate pets at this time. There are several local boarding facilities in the area that the hotel is more than happy to recommend.

Is the river easily accessible? From the cabin area, there is a half-mile trail that leads guests
to a river access point featuring a sandy beach. In the future, there will be
river access directly down from the bluff where the cabins stand.

Are the roads to the property and my cabin paved? The last mile or so to the cabin is a dirt road. An SUV or truck is ideal, but regular cars do just fine as well.

How far is my parking spot from my cabin? Right next to the cabins.

What wildlife might I find? Guests are encouraged to stay on the existing trails. Creatures
on the property include deer, hogs, bobcats, coyotes, possums, raccoons,
armadillos, rabbits, snakes, turkeys, ducks, owls, hawks, falcons, Mississippi
kites, ospreys, bats, and our resident chickens. Plus catfish, bass, perch and more underwater.

Is there a fire pit? In addition to bocce ball, horseshoe and cornhole in the communal game area, there is a fire pit available for guest use. Wood, fire starter, lighters and any other items necessary for the use of the fire pit other than the fire pit itself are not provided.

Why is it called Whiskey on the River? This project is a bit of a spinoff from our sister restaurant (Whiskey Prime) and sister boutique hotel (Hotel Whiskey – Pass Christian and Hotel Whiskey – Pascagoula ).Whiskey our mascot really enjoys the Leaf River:
